(*) Fees are without VAT (additional 22%). Italian laws allow in the cases below the payment of conference registration fees at no additional VAT 22%. In particular, individuals belonging to a foreign (non-Italian) organization/institution/university are exempted from paying the VAT. In this case, they should provide their institution data (VAT number, legal address, etc.) during the registration and payment process.
Italian participants need to pay VAT. If they register as “persona individuale” they need to pay the VAT directly during the registration and payment process, if conversely they want to have the payment performed by their institution (either university or public body), then they need to proceed to fatturazione elettronica and “split dell’IVA”. Detailed instructions will be provided during the registration process.

Online registration deadline is Sunday 26 May 2019

Each paper (in workshops, co-located events and conference) should be associated to a regular registration for (or including) the event the paper should be presented at. Authors of accepted papers should register by the date of the camera ready submission deadline

A 3-DAYS Conference registration gives you access to: all sessions held between 5-7 June, including the keynotes, paper presentation sessions, tutorials, CAiSE Forum, and the CAiSE Doctoral Consortium. It also gives access to the conference materials, CAiSE Forum materials, coffee breaks and buffet lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the Walkthrough Antiques & Social Dinner on Wednesday 5 June, the Conference Party on Thursday 6 June.

A 2-DAYS Workshops & co-located Events registration gives you access to: all sessions held on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 June (both days), including CAiSE’2019 Workshop and co-located Events materials, coffee breaks and buffet lunch on Monday and Tuesday, the Workshops and Co-located Events Dinner on Monday 3 June.

However, if you have a 2-DAYS Workshops & co-located Events registration, you can attend any of the workshops or co-located events that are held on the dates.

A 5-DAYS All Events registration gives you access to: all sessions held between 3-7 June, and includes all the benefits in both the 2-DAYS Workshops & co-located Events and 3-DAYS Conference registrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am the author of two papers accepted for presentation at the conference. Do I have to register twice?
A: No. You only need to register once, no matter how many papers you will present. In any case, in order to maximize the exposure of your work and to increase the community, it is highly suggested that each paper is presented by a different author.

Q: I am a MsC/PhD student and I am the author of a paper accepted at a workshop/co-located event/main conference. Can I register as a student or should I pay a regular registration fee?
A: If you are the presenting author of the paper (i.e., the only one among the authors who is present at the event), you need to buy a regular registration, regardless of whether or not you are a student.

Q: I am a PhD student participating in the Doctoral Consortium. Can I register as a student or should I pay a full registration fee?
A: If you have been accepted to participate to the Doctoral Consortium, then you are eligible to register as a student. Remember that the registration must include the main conference (either 5-DAYS All Events or 3-DAYS Conference registration).

Q: Do I need a visa in order to come to the Italy (Schengen space) to attend the conference. If so, how can I get one?
A: The list of countries whose nationals need a Schengen visa in order to enter the Schengen space can be found here. If you need a Schengen visa to attend the CAiSE conference, you can apply for it at your closest Italian consulate. If there is no Italian consulate in your country of residence, you may be able to obtain it from the consulate of another European Union member state. Further information about visas can be obtained here. If you need an invitation letter to apply for a visa, you can request one by sending an email to the conference secretariat (please register to the conference before making this request). In your request for an invitation letter, please provide the following details:

  • Full name as shown in your passport
  • Date of birth
  • Complete mailing address, phone and fax number
  • E-mail address
  • Professional or student status proof
  • Passport number, expiration date, country where issued.

Q: Can I cancel my registration.
A: If you are the presenting author of a paper, you cannot cancel your registration, independently of your effective participation to the event. In all other cases, you can cancel your registration upon the application of a penalty of 150€.
